About Us
Hi, I’m Isis. Yes, like the Egyptian Goddess, not the terrorist group. It’s OK. I know you were secretly thinking it. My dad chose it as a name that he thought would connect me to my roots. We’re Ethiopian, but the native names my dad was planning on choosing just weren’t exciting to my mom at the time. So he researched Egyptian names and my mom fell in love with Isis.
One thing you should know about me is that I like to know things, all the things. My parents called me nosey when I was a child, but I would call it inquisitive.
I was always popping into adult conversations, taking notes, and listening.
My need for wanting to know all the things paid off. It led me to a career in the news industry where I’ve worked as a reporter for the last four years and gained skills that helped me get eyeballs on content, connect with readers and accurately tell stories. And of course, research for stories and projects was second nature for me after all that eavesdropping as a kid.
As far back as I can remember, I found that people would tell me their deepest secrets or share things with me they just weren’t comfortable sharing with others.
For whatever reason, people (complete strangers) feel comfortable speaking with me and telling me things. I think that’s a gift. I want to extend the opportunity of that gift with you to sell the best story about your business or product.
